Yuvraj Singh reveals how Sourav Ganguly offered him Delhi Capitals coaching job

Former India all‑rounder Yuvraj Singh has joined Delhi Capitals as batting and assistant coach, reuniting with his former captain Sourav Ganguly ahead of IPL 2027. Ganguly, who was named head coach of the franchise earlier, reportedly offered the coaching role to Yuvraj during a discussion about DC’s plans for the upcoming season. Yuvraj described how the conversation unfolded, underscoring the longstanding trust and rapport between the two cricketers that traces back to their India days and continues in the IPL. In his new role, Yuvraj will work with the batting unit on technique, shot selection, and overall batting strategy, while also assisting Ganguly with broader team plans and in‑game decisions. The appointment signals DC’s intent to blend Ganguly’s leadership with Yuvraj’s experience across international and IPL cricket to strengthen the side’s middle order and adaptability. The move comes as DC gear up for a competitive IPL 2027 campaign, aiming to develop emerging talents and maximize performance by leveraging the expertise of two veteran stalwarts. The report frames the reunion as a collaboration between two iconic figures in Indian cricket who will guide a new generation of DC players.
