Naman Dhir makes big pitch admission, reveals Ravindra Jadeja’s advice before 3rd ODI vs West Indies

Naman Dhir, who earned his India ODI cap in the opening match of the series against West Indies, spoke about the pitch at the New Chandigarh venue and acknowledged Ravindra Jadeja for providing timely tips ahead of the third ODI. Dhir said he focused on how the surface might play on the day and how best to align his innings to the conditions. He credited Jadeja with practical guidance that helped him prepare for the next game, including reading the surface, fielding considerations, and shot selection under pressure. Jadeja’s input, according to Dhir, boosted his confidence as he looked to consolidate his place in India's limited-overs plans after his debut. The remarks illustrate how India’s senior players are supporting new entrants as the team aims to maintain momentum in the series. The New Chandigarh pitch backdrop provided the setting for Dhir’s first exposure to international ODI cricket in front of a home crowd, and his comments reflect a focus on adaptation, patience, and learning from experienced teammates as India seeks to continue its groove in the series.
